(20130212) GEWS skills and support for GLH on April 18th at Stevens Institute

Dear Edwin:
(1) Many thanks for your msg
(ATTACHMENT I below), in response to the Reference (a) above.
(2) It would be tremendous if the high-speed wireless Internet as the extension
of GLORIAD/ACE to remote/rural areas in African countries would help the skills
acquisition and capacity building training programs for Malaria eradication
— in addition to the same for bureaucrats and future leaders with
scientific and rational approach on their policy analysis/evaluation as of our
GEWS project.
Such an extension of GLORIAD/ACE to remote/rural areas in African countries may
be done along the construction of high speed traffic roads among sub-Saharan
African countries with the USD $4 billion pledged by the Japanese government at
the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD-IV) in Yokohama, Japan in 2008 — the
next of which (TICAD-V) is to be held in the coming June 1 to 3 to be organized with the Japanese government and UN, World Bank, UNDP and AUC <http://tinyurl.com/ah62ccx>.
Edwin:
You may be interested in attending this conference.
Dear Tapio:
(3) Many thanks for your msg
(ATTACHMENT II below).
Congratulations to your receiving an invitation to attend the United Nations
Global Financial and Economic Crisis Summit Conference in London 27 February -

Thanks a million Tak,
For the interesting news
concerning ECOWAS nation focused video-conferencing on April 18, 2013.
Many thanks also for your
congratulatory message to UNESCO Prof. Tapio Varis in Finnland for his
outstanding
achievement award.
Last week, I signed an agreement with the European Vaccine Initaitive in Germany focused on the elimination of Malaria
in Africa, using Vaccine becuase counter-Malaria
drugs continue to show resistance to Malaria falciparium,
the most devasting specie responsible for millions of
death in Africa and world-wide.
The biggest challenge in this ambitious plan is the inadequate,
qualitative and quantitative human resource skilled manpower needed to
implement the operation.
Therefore, Youths education involving skills acquisition and capacity building
training programs linked to GUS, ICT education enabling technical platform will
be extremely useful also for the Malaria elimination project.
To take things to the next level, I am proposing that GUS join in restorative
programs coming up soon within the framework of a `Post 2015 United Nations
plan to achieve its MDG goals initially targeted for 2015 but falied becuase of reasons, some
of which I will present during the April 18,
Video-conference.
The World Bank has set up a Collaborative Action for Develeopment
Committee.
We will be joining this platform to bring in, in-puts for positive impacting
difference in global development .
In all of this, flexible access to accelerated communication modality
provided by GUS broadband technology is
the central enabling vehicle.
My plan is therefore, to begin immediately after the ECOWAS Video-conference , an extended collaborative platform which will
make GUS, a key player in fast-tracked global development programs within the
United Nations, the World Bank, President Obama , European Union as well as the
Japan Government drive for visible and palpable development.
Please stay in touch.

United Nations Global Financial and Economic Crisis Summit
Conference Theme: Impact and implications of the global financial and economic
crisis on sustainable development & climate change proposals for an
integrated global response to the crisis.
Date: February 27th - 2nd March, 2013
Venue: International Convention Centre London, United Kingdom.
The Global University System, Education and the Impact and implications of
the global financial and economic crisis on sustainable development &
climate change
The present crises requires fundamental new ways of
dealing with education. If a truly global knowledge society is to be created,
more attention should be given to the diversity of cultures and the
co-existence of different civilizations and cultures. Global University System
(GUS) brings technology to the agenda of global education. GUS is to launch a
trans-cultural, global-wide initiative (using modern techniques of
communication) to promote the kinds of global education that will advance
peace, justice, understanding, and human wisdom. The GUS seeks to
encourage a sense of transnational identity, a feeling of global community,
which is necessary for the survival, creative growth and constructive
transformation of our species.
The Global University System (GUS) is a worldwide initiative to create
satellite/wireless telecommunications infrastructure and educational programs
for access to educational resources across national and cultural boundaries for
global peace. The GUS helps higher educational institutions in
remote/rural areas of developing countries to deploy broadband Internet in
order for them to close the digital divide and act as the knowledge center of
their community for the eradication of poverty and isolation. The GUS has
task forces working in the major regions of the globe with partnerships of
higher education and healthcare institutions. Learners in these regions
will be able to take their courses, via advanced broadband Internet, from
member institutions around the world to receive a GUS degree. These
learners and their professors from participating institutions will form a
global forum for exchange of ideas and information and for conducting
collaborative research and development. The aim is
to achieve "education and healthcare for all," anywhere, anytime and
at any pace.
For this purpose a Global Lecture Hall (GLH) TM multipoint-to-multipoint,
multimedia, interactive videoconferencing will be held during our conference at
the Stevens Institute of Technology in the morning of April 18th. Colleagues of
our Global Early Warning System (GEWS) project for the selected Economic
Community Of West African States (ECOWAS) in the west coast of African
continent will participate.
